INTTRA Announces New Offices and Expanded Presence in China

(Shanghai and Hong Kong, China) - Due to significant growth in demand for multi-carrier e-commerce, INTTRA has opened new offices in Qingdao, Shenzhen and Xiamen.
INTTRA is the largest e-commerce platform for the ocean industry enabling all shippers and forwarders to reach all carriers, including those that are not part of INTTRA's network. With 23 of the world's largest ocean carriers as member carriers, INTTRA initiates more than 150,000 container orders a week and handles over $11 billion worth of ocean freight each year.
"INTTRA has experienced significant growth in the region over the last year, registering a 260 percent increase in containers processed between the end of 2005 and 2006," said Bobby Lim, INTTRA's Managing Director for the China and Korea region. "This strong growth has been achieved by providing local support and e-commerce expertise to carriers and customers. Now, our growth warrants additional customer support and service in Qingdao and Xiamen, particularly as we introduce new Desktop software to enable cargo agents to create and submit electronic shipping orders and shipping instructions."
