Hoist Liftruck Receives First Orders on New ECH

(Bedford Park, Illinois) - Designs on Hoist Liftruck's new empty container handler (ECH) have been completed and manufacturing has begun. Fast Lane Transportation has placed an order for two (2) 6‐high Hoist ECH units for its Wilmington and Oakland, California locations. Hoist dealer Toyota Lift of Los Angeles completed the sale, with delivery scheduled by year's end. Shippers Stevedoring Company placed an order for three (3) 8‐high Hoist ECH units to operate in the Houston area. Hoist dealer Toyota Lift of Houston completed the sale, with delivery scheduled in the first quarter of 2009.

The advanced modular design on the Hoist ECH allows for containerized shipping and reduced setup time that can
save a customer as much as 25% on shipping and setup costs. The modular design also provides efficient
serviceability, with bolt‐on assemblies for easy part replacement.

Opposite of traditional mast designs, the unique Hoist ECH mast features a rigid inner mast and telescoping outer,
which reduces torsional stresses and increases durability. The wide‐view mast with nested cylinders, coupled with
a high‐position cab and angled overhead glass, provides the operator with superior visibility.

Other standard features include 6.7L Tier III Cummins diesel engine; Dana 32,000 automatic transmission; load
sense hydraulic system; AxleTech planetary drive axle; stabilizing system preventing lateral movement; side‐post
attachment with two (2) ISO rear twistlocks that extend/retract to handle containers up to 53 feet; interlock safety system to insure proper locking and twistlock engagement indicator lights; and RemoteTech® vehicle management system.

The Hoist ECH has gained interest worldwide with much interest in Asia and South America, with many scheduling
visits to the United States to view the new units. "The same heavy duty foundation and quality design of our PSeries pneumatic line is being carried over to the Hoist ECH," said Marty Flaska, president of Hoist Liftruck.
"Coupled with the modular design, standardized premium components, technology and aftermarket parts support,
the anticipation of our ECH line has been tremendous. We are actually beginning to see the same interest in the
wind energy market and we have the equipment and solutions to serve that market as well."
